Deborah Chubb is a native of  the Michigan City area, attending Barker Middle School and Rogers High School.  After studying Early Childhood Education at Ball State University and National-Louis University in Illinois, she received a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University and then a law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law.

She practiced law in Michigan City for eight years, specializing in family law and business law, before becoming the Executive Director of The Child Care Consortium, Inc.

Her involvement with The Child Care Consortium began in 1995 when she enrolled her oldest child in the Consortium’s child development center, Imagination Station, which was then housed in two rooms at the Sanai Temple.  She was asked to join the board of directors and became more and more involved in the eventual creation of the new Imagination Station at 1200 East Coolspring Ave.  She has served as Executive Director of The Child Care Consortium dba Imagination Station since 2000.
