Janice Englander Katz, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist with 27 years of experience working to improve the lives of children, families and adults. Dr. Katz is the founder and president of The Child Care Consortium that operates Imagination Station, a NAEYC accredited, licensed educational child care center in Michigan City. She provides mental health consulting for child care programs and teaches Child Psychology at Purdue University North Central. Her accomplishments include:
- Working diligently to create an early childhood mental health consultation system for the state of Indiana.
- Serving as an active member of the Infant Mental Health Task Force of Indiana Association for Infant and Toddler Mental Health and is on the Social Emotional Development Committee for Indiana Sunny Start.
- Serving as Chair of the Public Policy Committee for the Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children.
- Developing the strategic plan for Northwest Indiana United Way Success By 6 and remains on the SB6 Steering Committee.
She earned her Ph.D. and M.A. at Washington University in St. Louis and her B.A. at University of Minnesota on a gymnastics scholarship. Dr. Katz and her husband have two sons ages 22 and 18.
